GENERAL REQUIREMENTS FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS ADMISSION
A pass in the ‘A’ Level examination with a minimum of Grade C in any three (3) subjects;
A pass in the Secondary High School Certificate/Senior High School Diploma (at least 12 years duration of school (6+3+3))
A Diploma or other qualification with a minimum of 2.50 Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) deemed to be of equivalent standing from the Malaysian Government and approved by the UPSI Senate.
Fulfils specific programme requirement by obtaining a Diploma in the appropriate field or other qualification approved by the UPSI Senate. (if relevant)
A pass in the “University Entrance Exam” (for countries where candidates must pass the “Entrance Exam” before being accepted into a university);
A good pass in the ‘O’ Level examination or its equivalent;
Have obtained a minimum TOEFL score of 500; IELTS with a minimum score of five (5);
Have sat for the English Language Placement Test to determine the level of competency in English for the purpose of attending the English Language Proficiency Course (ELPC) and obtained Band Seven (7) for admission to the TESL programme or Band Four (4) for admission to other programmes of study in UPSI.
* Students who speak Malay language from Indonesia, Singapore, Brunei and Thailand are required to sit for the English Language Placement Test and undergo the English Language Proficiency Course (ELPC) if applying for the TESL programme.
